SNAP 2020 Exam           

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, Popularly known as SNAP, is the MBA entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for students seeking admission to MBA/PGDM programs in Symbiosis institutes. The SNAP exam is computer-based test which is mandatory for the candidates aspiring to join MBA program offered by any Symbiosis institutes. The B-schools affiliated to SIU offer niche MBA specializations that are high in demand considering the market scenario and the demand for skilled professionals in niche domains. There are total 15 MBA institutes of Symbiosis out of which there are some colleges that are considered as one of the best MBA institutes in the country.

Changes in SNAP 2020 Exam

The SNAP 2020 has been revised with some of the major changes due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation. The changes are as follows:

1. The SNAP 2020 Exam will be held on three different dates, once in December and twice in January. The three dates are 20th December 2020, 6th January 2021 and 9th January, 2021.

2. Candidates can take the SNAP exam up to two times and the best of the performance of candidate out of the attempt he/she has made will be considered for the final percentile calculation.

3. The number of questions in the SNAP exam has been reduced to 60 from 110.

4. The time duration of the exam has also been reduced from 2 hours to 1 hour and will held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

5. There will be no special questions included in the SNAP 2020 exam. The candidates will have to solve 60 objective type questions only where each question will have four options out of which only one would be the correct answer.

6. Test-takers will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

SNAP 2020 Eligibility

1. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) from any recognized university or institute.

2. Candidates who are in the final year or awaiting results can also apply for the exam but their admission if selected, will be on the provisional basis until their results and passing certificates are submitted.

3. Candidates who have graduated from any foreign university have to obtain a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SNAP 2020 Registrations cum Application Process

The SNAP 2020 registration and application process has started on September 24, 2020 and will end on November 28, 2020. The SNAP exam is going to be conducted thrice on different dates as mentioned above. The candidates will have the option of attempting the exam up to two times and the best score of two attempts will be considered for final percentile calculation. Before going for registration, Candidates should check whether they fulfill the eligibility criteria of all the institutes that they are interested in, as some of the Symbiosis Institutes have their separate eligibility criteria.

For SNAP registration, interested candidates need to visit the official website of SNAP and fill the application form. Moreover, they need to pay the SNAP registration fee of Rs.1750 for every attempt either via online modes or offline mode. Here are the steps for the registration process –

1. Students need to visit the SNAP 2020 website and then click on ‘register’.

2. Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, valid email address and other details. Candidates must ensure that the information he/she has filled is accurate as No change in name, date of birth, category, test city and test date requests will be entertained once the registration fee is paid.

3. Upload your latest scanned color passport size at the time of registration (your photograph should not be more than 3 months old).

4. After filling the details and uploading photograph, make the payment of SNAP 2020 registration fee i.e. Rs.1750 via online modes like Billdesk Payment Gateway/Easebuzz Payment Gateway/Indian Bank Payment Gateway or offline modes through Demand Drafts. SNAP 2020 registration fee once paid, will not be refunded.

5. After registering online and making payment of registration fees, the next step is to fill the SNAP 2020 application form which includes personal details, academic details, etc.

6. Register for MBA programs of preferred Symbiosis institutes. However, check the eligibility criteria before applying for any particular institutes. There will be a separate registration fees of Rs.1000 per program. For example, if you choose five MBA programs, then you would pay Rs.5000.

SNAP 2020 Paper pattern and Syllabus

SNAP exam is a computer-based test having three sections- General English, Analytical & logical reasoning and Quantitative, Data interpretation & Data sufficiency. The SNAP 2020 will be of one hour duration from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. The total number of questions will be 60 and all the questions will be of MCQ’s type where four answer choices will be given out of which only one option will be the correct answer. 1 mark will be awarded for every single correct answer and 0.25 will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted or awarded if the answer is not marked for any question.

SNAP 2020 Admit Card

SNAP 2020 Admit card is going to be released on December 5, 2020 on the SNAP official website. Candidates who have successfully completed the registration process, can download their admit card using their SNAP-ID and Password. SNAP admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam so candidates must produce a hard copy of the admit card which will be like entry ticket to enter the exam center. Candidates must check the details on admit card like name, SNAP-ID, test center, date of birth, photograph and signature after downloading. If these details are missing or incorrect, candidates are advised to inform the exam conducting authorities as soon as possible and get their admit card revised. Candidates must also read all the instructions carefully before appearing for the exam.

SNAP 2020 Result

SNAP 2020 result will be declared on January 22, 2021. The result will be available on the SNAP official website. Candidates can download their SNAP result by entering their SNAP-ID and Password. Candidates if selected will have to compulsorily appear for Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) in order to get selected. SNAP 2020 Result will contain the sectional and overall scores, percentile, candidate name, roll number, signature, photograph and a stamp of SNAP conducting Authority.
