However the total time duration for the exam will remain the same. NMAT 2020 exam will have equal weightage for all the three sections. You can have a look at the table below –
The NMAT
exam is of objective types questions wherein there will be five options given
for each question out of which only one will be correct. There will be 3 marks
awarded for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for the wrong
answers or an un-attempted questions so it would be better to mark all the
questions rather than leaving the questions.
GMAC has
also announced that the NMAT 2020 exam will be Computer Adaptive Test like GMAT
in which the level of difficulty of the exam will depend on the number of
questions answered correctly. The answer of the present question will decide
the level of the next question. For example, if a candidate solves the current
question correctly then the next question will be of higher difficulty and if
again solved correctly then the level of difficulty will again go higher and
higher and vice versa.
NMAT has a
slightly lower level of difficulty when compared to other exams like CAT, XAT,
IIFT as there are more number of questions with lesser time duration in NMAT
which makes it a speed-based exam. As a result, the candidates must familiarize
themselves with all the topics of the three sections before appearing for the
exam.
